Making and Selling Consets.
So, I was wondering how people make profit off of crafting consets and selling them?
Do you buy the materials at a cheap price and make the consumables?....and how much would each consumable be? ***Mods pls close any trends..I have here already*** Last edited by Zanagi Kazuhiko; Jul 24, 2009 at 04:13 AM // 04:13.. |

Ideally, if you farm your own materials, then your profits will be much higher than those who purchased the materials from other players. HM Solo farming will also increase the amount of experience you received thereby giving you more skill points needed to craft the Consets. I think many sellers may not take into account the lost of skill points in costing, A rule of thumb should be IMO 1 Platinum per skill point (which is the amount you need to pay to skill trainer as a level 20 player to learn a skill). Needless to say, HM solo farming also brings in more cash for you. Spamming WTB in town is a sheer waste of time for those intending to make a profit from sales of consets.

i farm them and salvage instead of merching mats so i usually have enough iron.
i bassicly gain 4k+ profit from all mats farmed and that includes -750g from the cost price. skill points come free from farming lol..... basicly its an hour of boredome turned into about 10-15k profit. |

If you buy materials its a reasonable profit.
10 Consets = 80k 1000 Iron = 15k 1000 Dust = 10k 500 Feathers = 20k 500 Bones = 3k Crafting = 7.5k Total = ~55k So 25k proft on making 10 consets. I personally buy these mats while I am trying to buy/sell other things, if ou go out just to get the mats, you may find it probably quicker to powertrade something else/farm for cash. Also try to make your cons on a character you dont use much/have all skills for, I accidentaly did this on my ranger and I now have to go and get some exp to finish my Elonian Skill Hunter title. |

The number one buyers of con sets are UWSC people, and a large percentage of them already have the skill points they will ever need so all they need is the materials. From my experience, and yes I kept track of the time and drop rates to arrive at these figures. I can farm feathers on my ele and average 379 feathers an hour. With stacks of feathers selling for 10k this equals over 15k an hour for just the feathers, it doesn't take into account any earnings form other drops - runes and golds to sell as unID. I farm in Jayla Bluffs, NM. here is a thread with an earth ele build for this farm. There is also fire builds that work just as well. |
